Savon de Provence is the soap that began our journey into botanical soap making.
 
Inspired by the centuries-old traditions of Savon de Marseille, this bar is crafted using a time-honored approach that emphasizes simple ingredients, careful infusion of herbs, and patient small-batch production.
 
Our base oils—olive, grapeseed, and coconut—are slowly infused with a garden blend of lavender, savory, marjoram, rosemary, thyme, and oregano, allowing the character of these Mediterranean herbs to gently infuse the oils before the soap is made.
 
In keeping with traditional French practice, the lye solution is prepared using salted water, echoing the historic method of soapmakers who worked along the Mediterranean coast and relied on mineral-rich seawater during the soap making process.
 
French green clay is added to the formula to lend a smooth texture and subtle mineral richness, while essential oils of lavender and rosemary provide a fresh herbal aroma reminiscent of the sun-warmed hillsides of southern France.
 
The result is a classic, balanced cleansing bar with a creamy lather and a clean herbal scent that feels both timeless and grounding.
