Luxurious Skin Care Salve Recipe

Yields: Approximately 8 oz.
Ingredients:
1 cup (8 ounces) olive oil, jojoba oil, or sweet almond oil.
¼ cup (1 oz) beeswax pastilles or pellets.
1-2 Tbsp shea butter, cocoa butter, or mango butter.
Up to 1 tsp essential oils like lavender, bergamot, or neroli (100 drops maximum for safety, but consider using ¼ to ½ tsp or less for a lighter scent).
½ tsp Vitamin E Oil
Melt the base: In the top of a double boiler, combine the carrier oil(s), beeswax, and shea butter.
Heat gently: Fill the bottom of the double boiler with water and heat over medium-high heat until all ingredients are completely melted and combined, stirring occasionally.
Cool slightly: Remove the double boiler from the heat and allow the mixture to cool slightly.
Stir in essential oils and vitamin E oil.
Pour into containers: Carefully pour the liquid salve into your chosen storage containers.
Harden and store: Allow the salve to cool completely and harden at room temperature for several hours or overnight. Once hardened, add lids and labels. Store in a cool, dry place.
